Using Frankincense Can Help Alleviate Symptoms Of Anxiety & Depression

If you are looking for a healthy alternative to your usual anxiety or depression medication due to their negative side effects, consider Frankincense, the resin of the Boswellia tree. Also known as olibanum, a team of researchers from John Hopkins University and Hebrew University in Jerusalem conducted a study which shows that the psychoactive effects the scent of frankincense has on the brain alleviates symptoms of anxiety and depression. Though they only tested the effects on mice, the researchers were confident that it would have a similar effect in humans too.
