Home-made and Easy Raw Sprouted Crackers Recipe

Eating a balanced diet containing all the crucial nutrients is the best way to stay healthy. It will keep your body fit, improve several body-functions, and satisfy your hunger for a longer time. But a nutritious diet doesn’t always mean bland food items like boiled vegetables, tasteless broths, salads, etc. Countless healthy recipes are available online, which are both delicious and nutritious at the same time. Raw sprouted crackers is simply one of them. They contain food items rich in essential vitamins, minerals, and other antioxidants. Even if you are on a vegan diet or a gluten-free diet, you can incorporate such dishes into your daily meal plan.

Recipe for making Raw Sprouted Crackers

These crackers are crunchy, gluten-free, and super tasty. You will only need a few seasonal herbs and vegetables to make it. Once it is ready, you can enjoy it or top it up with tasty garnishing.

Here’s what you’ll need to make Raw Sprouted Crackers:

  • 1 Raw Papaya
  • Karpuravalli Leaves (Indian Oregano)
  • Curry Leaves
  • 1-2 Pippali (Long Pepper)
  • 1 Onion
  • One bowl of Sprouted Moong Beans
  • A bowl of Sprouted Lentils
  • One bowl of Sprouted Fenugreek seeds
  • A bowl of Sprouted Pearl Millet
  • Flaxseed powder

Steps for making Raw Sprouted Crackers

Step 1:

Take raw papaya, wash it nicely, and peel off its outer skin. Then chop it up and put the pieces in a big bowl. 

Step 2:

Chop up an onion and add it to the bowl along with half of a Pippali.

Step 3:

Add the chopped vegetables into a mixer grinder and blend it well. Once it turns into a thick pulp, empty the contents of your mixer into another bowl.

Step 4:

Now take the sprouted moong beans and put them in your mixer grinder. Add flaxseed powder and half a cup of water to it. 

Step 5:

Blend it for a few seconds until it turns into a thick paste. Add this paste to the same bowl, which contains the vegetable pulp.

Step 6:

Repeat the process with the other sprouts. Don’t worry if your sprout-paste has chunky bits- it will give your crackers a better texture. You can also add Karpuravalli Leaves before blending to add some flavor to the mixture. 

Step 7:

As soon as you complete blending the vegetables and the sprouts, mix them well in a bowl. 

Step 8:

Take a big scoop of this mixture and spread it out evenly on a tray lined with non-stick sheets. Repeat the process 6-7 times. 

Step 9:

You can decorate it with leaves, herbs, seeds, or sprouts before dehydrating the trays. You would need a dehydrator for this recipe. Also, make sure that the temperature of the dehydrator is low.

Step 10:

Once they are dry to touch, take the trays out, flip it, and remove the non-stick sheets.

Step 11:

Cut the dry mixture into pieces and dehydrate it again until it is completely dry and crispy.

Step 12:

After that, you can break it into pieces and serve the crackers with green papaya scapes or healthy vegan salad cream.

Sprouts are rich in several vitamins like A, B, C, and E and contain high amounts of plant protein. It enhances cell regeneration and protects your body from cancer-causing cells. On the other hand, Raw papaya contains plenty of fiber that cleanses your body from the inside.
