COVID Moderna's vaccine

There is good news for us all when it comes to coronavirus vaccines. Soon we will see not one but many legit vaccines for the coronavirus. If Moderna’s vaccines pass the phase 3 trials, it will be a win for us all.

Anthony Fauci, an infectious diseases expert, is extremely proud of this achievement. He says that the progression from sequencings covid-19 to getting the vaccination for coronavirus in phase 3 trials is the best thing they have done.

Thirty thousand people who are spread across the US will take part in the phase 3 trial of Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine. The phase 3 trial will go on for the next couple of months.

Fauci has promised the media that despite the speedy developments, there has been no compromise on the safety or effectiveness of the vaccine.

Mr Fauci called the phase 3 trials of covid vaccine a truly historic moment in the history of vaccinology. According to Fauci, the new data from phase 3 trials would be available at the end of the year for the public to review.

Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine is the first vaccine in the US to enter phase 3 trials.

Phase one included a small number of people to see if the vaccine was safe. Phase two includes slightly more people to check the safety of the vaccine. And phase 3 will include thousands of people to check the efficacy of the vaccine.

Once the vaccine is proven effective, it will be further processed for approval.

What next?

If the vaccine is proven to have the desired effect, Moderna reported that they would be able to produce approximately 500 million doses of this vaccine per year.

And starting in 2021, they will be able to produce 1 billion doses per year.

According to Modern’s recent reports, the people who went through phase one trails had a positive response to the vaccination. The vaccination has the desired effect and created necessary antibodies in response.

People who attended the phase one trail developed a robust immune response and reported mild side effects like headaches, chills, fatigue and muscle pain.

These side effects were similar to the ones that were reported by other vaccine trials.

University of Oxford and AstraZeneca, and Johnson & Johnson are also in the process of developing their vaccine. Their vaccine trials have also almost reached phase 3 trials.

According to US News, another vaccine by Pfizer and BioNTech will also be starting it’s phase 3 trials soon.

Things are finally starting to look good for the pandemic ridden world.
